2027 Open Enrollment Is Here.

Review your coverage for the year ahead and give yourself time to understand the details before you enroll.

Know your enrollment dates.

For coverage through HealthCare.gov, the 2027 Open Enrollment period runs from November 1, 2026, through January 15, 2027.

Enroll by December 15, 2026 for coverage that starts January 1, 2027. Enrollment from December 16 through January 15 generally has a February 1 start date. Coverage also depends on completing the required steps, including paying the first premium when required.

Your state’s dates may differ. States that run their own Marketplaces can use different deadlines. Confirm the dates and coverage start date with the Marketplace serving your state.

Make room for a fresh look.

If you already have coverage, review your renewal notice and the details for the new plan year. Premiums, benefits, provider networks, and prescription coverage can change.

If you are applying for the first time, start by gathering your household and coverage information. Use your Marketplace’s application checklist to see what it needs.

  • Review your current coverage and renewal materials.
  • Check your doctors and prescriptions against the specific plan.
  • Compare monthly premiums and costs when you use care.
  • Confirm your deadline, start date, and any payment requirements.
